Energy retrofitting of a family home to the nearly zero energy building
Uhlíř, David ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis is devoted to reducing the energy intensity of a two-storey family house from the 1960s, to a building with almost zero energy consumption. First, the family house is analyzed in terms of the condition before reconstruction. The result of this analysis is a certificate of energy performance of the building in its original condition. Within the individual chapters, I subsequently propose specific energy saving measures. At the end of each chapter, these measures are economically evaluated using the New Green Savings Grant Program. The first measure is dedicated to improving the thermal technical properties of the building envelope. This is ensured by the complex insulation of the family house and the replacement of the original windows and doors. The second measure is devoted to the design of a suitable method of forced ventilation with heat recovery. As part of the third measure, I assess and select a suitable heat source that will replace the original heat source of the family house. As a final measure, I propose the use of a renewable energy source in the form of a photovoltaic system, which is based on energy simulation in the program DEKSOFT FVE. At the end of my work, I am developing a building energy performance certificate, which assesses the fulfillment of the condition of a building with almost zero energy consumption.
Optimization of life cycle costs of family houses
Servusová, Michaela ; Aigel, Petr (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The theoretical part deals at the beginning with wooden buildings and suitable materials. Then information about low energy houses, passive houses and requirements for new buildings is introduced. The theoretical part of the work also summarizes the selection of the technological solution. Important part is about individual life cycle stages of the building, wear and tear of the buildings and whole life costs of the building that the investor is interested in. Practical part of the thesis consists of a case study of the wooden family house where the whole life costs of the building life cycle are solved.
Building Services in Low-energy Building
Fireš, Michal ; Tůmová, Eliška (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of my bachelor´s thesis is to analyse a building P4 of scientific and research center AdMaS (Advanced Materials, Structures and Technologies) in Brno and results compare with real values. The second part is heating proposal. Building P4 is composed of two side halls and stores, which are connected with central fourth-floor administrative building. The teoretical part is focud on nearly Zero Energy Building. The calculating part consists of heat loss calculating, heating elements design, hot water preparation and distribution of heating water. Heating elements are designed as panel and tubular. The part of project part is technical report, drawing documentation and the evaluation of present condition of building services.
Energy-saving building of the Center for Movement Medicine
Bořil, Martin ; Maurerová, Lenka (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is the design of an nearly zero energy building of the Centre for movement medicine. The thesis consists of three parts. The design of the building is the main topic of the first part. The building has two above ground floors. The load-bearing system is a reinforced cast-in-place concrete frame. The infill walls of the reinforced concrete frame are made of sand-lime bricks. The thrmal insulation of the building consists of mineral wool. The roof is extensive green roof. The second part elaborates on the design of HVAC and other building services. Heat pumps are provided for heating and cooling of the building. There are two ventilation systems. Lighting is provided by LED lights. Rainwater is collected in a rainwater tank and it´s used for flushing. A photovoltaic system is installed on the roof of the building. The multi-criteria evaluation of four cooling systems is the subject of the third part. The aim was to develop the most environmentally friendly solution. The thesis was prepared in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations and standards. Revit, DeksoftEnergie, Teplo, Area, PVsol, AutoCAD, Fire, Excel and BuildingDesign were used in the preparation of this thesis.
